Welcome to ParentSkills2Go CIC, a parent-led, volunteer-run organization dedicated to supporting and empowering parents and children.

Our goal:

“To support parents with children and young people by providing activities, trips and workshops”

About PARENTSKILLS2GO

ParentSkills2Go CIC is a voluntary, parent-led group that promotes social, economic and mental wellbeing for Global Majority families in the borough of Southwark and the surrounding areas. We do this through providing support services, training programmes and leisure activities, as well as working in partnership with service providers to improve the outcomes for this target community group.

Our Mission

We aim to support families by providing essential services, training programs, and leisure activities, while collaborating with service providers to enhance the lives of our target community. We work closely with local partners to improve outcomes for parents and their children.

Impact: Activities and Meals Provided

We have organized over 300 activities for families and young people, aimed at fostering community connections and enhancing well-being. Additionally, through the support of London Mayor initiative, Kitchen Social, we’ve provided more than 5,000 nutritious meals to children and families, helping to alleviate food insecurity and create a positive, supportive environment for all.

Workshops and Skill-Building Programs

At ParentSkills2Go, we are committed to uplifting families and individuals from less-privileged and BAME (Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic) communities through a variety of skill-building workshops. These include:

  • Sewing Skills 2Go: A program that teaches participants sewing skills, empowering them with practical abilities that can lead to financial independence.
  • Autism Workshops: Designed to support parents and carers of children with autism, these sessions provide education, strategies, and a community of understanding.
  • My Child and Me: A program that helps parents and carers understand their child’s development and build a strong, supportive relationship.
  • Other Workshops: We offer a range of programs that help families acquire new skills, strengthen community ties, and enhance their quality of life.
